Miltex Olsen-Hegar Needle Holders are a combination of needle holder and suture scissor in one instrument. These needle holders are designed with Carb-N-Sert serrated jaws crafted from tungsten carbide, the hardest steel made for surgical instruments. They are then bonded to needle holders made of the finest quality stainless steel.
The teeth are precision milled into the tungsten carbide, forming sharp pyramid-shapes to provide a positive non-slip grip on needles and sutures. The edges around the outside of the jaws are chamfered to prevent accidental cutting of suture material when held in the jaw. The scissor blades have precision screws and are fully tempered to keep the scissors in perfect alignment.
