The Childbirth Graphics Cervical Effacement and Dilation Model is 3-D display that includes 10 models of the cervix as well as artwork to illustrate pelvic station and the baby's positioning in the birth canal. The Cervical Effacement and Dilation Model is a popular teaching aid that enables students to see and feel the effacement and dilation of the cervix throughout the various stages of labor.
The 10 models represent dilation from 1 cm to 10 cm. Rotation and forward movement of the fetal head are also shown and the blue color on the early stage cervical models represents the amniotic sac before it ruptures.
